My name is Erik Reichenbach, and my wife Katie (KTBug) and I are pleased to have founded R Little Homestead. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley, served for 5 years in the U.S. Army, and after bouncing around a bit, finding my lovely bride (over twenty years ago) we settled into the southern edge of the Pocono Mountains. We’ve since been on a journey to reduce our dependence on commercial infrastructure. While we can’t feasibly cut ALL our ties, we’re reducing our negative impact on the earth.
My name is Katie, and I grew up on the side of a mountain just south of Allentown, PA in Center Valley. I Graduated from Cedar Crest College with a degree in music but then got my teaching certificate from DeSales University, and have had the pleasure of teaching students of all ages, K thru adult while Erik and I also raised our son Kevin. In 2010, I was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD, and had to stop working and take disability in 2013. Since then I’ve been making the best of what I can do. Outside of teaching, gardening and crafting are my passions; R Little Homestead has given me the opportunity to follow all of these, sharing the fruits of our garden, as well as other pursuits in crafting and sustainability while working within the means of a debilitating disease. The garden is my therapy, no doubt about that!
